By accessing or using Scan My HVAC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Scan My HVAC is an HVAC equipment identification application that uses image recognition technology to identify manufacturers, models, and provide related information including specifications, common issues, and maintenance recommendations.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and authentic HVAC equipment photos
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the application
  • Not upload inappropriate, offensive, or unrelated content

4. HVAC Reports and Information

IMPORTANT: The information provided by Scan My HVAC is for informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional HVAC inspection or advice.

Our HVAC identification and reports are generated using image recognition and database matching. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all identifications are correct or that all information is complete or current.

Always consult a licensed HVAC professional or the equipment manufacturer for official specifications, safety concerns, repairs, or maintenance decisions.

5. Fees and Payments

  • Basic HVAC identification (teaser) is provided free of charge
  • Full HVAC reports are available for $0.99 per scan
  • Payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store
  • All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Scan My HVAC, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the application without our written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

SCAN MY HVAC IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT HVAC IDENTIFICATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Any decisions made based on information provided by the app
  • Any property damage, personal injury, or safety issues related to HVAC equipment
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in HVAC identification or specifications

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scan My HVAC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the application or violation of these Terms.

10. Privacy

Your use of Scan My HVAC is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
